Analysis and evaluation of symmetrical key ciphers for internet of things smart home

A large number of sensors and intelligent devices are interconnected via the internet to collect data as part things (IoT) applications. Data security is one important challenges for these applications due vulnerability internet. IoT limiting factors, such delay-sensitivity, restricted memory, low computing capability, make choosing appropriate encryption standard extremely important. The current research focuses on evaluating four security, block cipher standards smart home application. Considering encryption/decryption speed, DES, TDES, AES, SAFER+ evaluated by implementing algorithms with MATLAB determine best solution. simulation shows superiority in term speed compared others added its capabilities software implementation opportunity. use classical symmetric key real time application can be validated through selection SAFER+.
